At the moment I am working on a new blog design which I will be launching in the new year and I am very excited about it but I’m afraid that is all I can say for now. However, working on the new blog has given me a reason to go back over all my old blog posts since I started writing here back in October 2009. This has been very interesting as I have been able to detect a distinct evolution in the kind of content that I have featured here over the years. In the beginning, I used to focus more on hard furnishings, things like kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and lighting – the kinds of things that make your home a house. Whilst I still love to include these in my posts I find that I am now ย including a lot more soft furnishings and smaller home accessories – the kind of things that make your house your home. These smaller details are increasingly catching my eye each week and putting a huge smile on my face.
This week I decided to feature these lovely little pots by Danish design duoย Meyer-Lavigne. Situated in the old meatpacking district in Copenhagen Meyer-Lavigne is run by Kristine Meyer and Sabine Lavigne. All their products are inspired by their love for storytelling, humour and uniqueness. Admittedly, some of them do freak me out a little, especially Mr Clown, but mostly I think they are pretty cute. What do you think?
