Mountains wallpaper by Fine Little Day
These fabulous wallpapers are available from Photowall and have been designed by an 9-year boy called Otto. Otto is the son of Elisabeth Dunker, an independent cross-disciplined designer/artist an author of the popular blog Fine Little Day.
After several years of blogging for a growing audience (75 000 visitors a month today) the concept around Fine Little Day extended. Fine Little Day is today a multidisciplinary art and design platform and brand. Not faithful to any single line but sprawling, impulsive and inconsistent.

Fine Little Day specialize in playful creating based on pleasure and joy. The main goal is to work with interesting and stimulating tasks. To produce happy and environment friendly products, work shops and lectures for both adults and children.
Explaining how the inspiration for the Ohoy wallpaper came about Elisabeth says: “Otto, who turned 9 years old this summer, is studying at a Freinet Pedagogy-based school, which has creation on the schedule every day. Like many kids he likes to draw. One evening he started to draw boats, the session continued for several days. When the drawings lay there on the floor in piles I saw a pattern potential. Me and Otto picked 9 boats and one little lighthouse from the drawings and put together the pattern. Then we talked about what we could do with the pattern and Otto suggested a wallpaper. I thought it was a great idea so we contacted the online wallpaper producers, Photowall.eu
who also liked the idea.”

And so Otto’s wallpaper was born. Just goes to show what a bit of creativity and some proactive motherly support can achieve. Would anyone else try doing the same with their kid’s artwork?
