I realised the other day that it’s been an absolute age since my last giveaway. It was back in May and I figure it’s time to remedy that and give you guys something to get excited about. So I have teamed up with The Lounge Co who I introduced you to this time last year (remember that post?). They recently joined forces with top British designer Lorna Lucas to produce an exclusive range of stunning nature-inspired accent chairs. And it is one of those chairs that you guys will have a chance to win so keep reading.

Lorna is well known for her print design, but she actually studied 3D Design in Manchester, specialising in lighting and glass. After graduating with a first class honours degree she continued her education with a screen printing course, but it wasn’t until she was introduced to digital print that her creativity really came to life through the vibrancy and broader colour options that the medium offered.

Lorna’s work is largely influenced by Mother Nature and her garden is a great source of inspiration for her stunning designs. Observing the changing seasons means that her work is often more vibrant in the summer and more muted in the winter.

In the summer, I work outside and use a lot of the botanicals in my garden and my photography in my work. So I have a lot of colour from the perennials. Then after the summer Iโ€™m out of the garden and back into my house but Iโ€™m always looking out on to the garden.

Lorna uses wildlife as her muse and has produced three stunning โ€˜Paradise Birdโ€™ designs for The Lounge Co. whose sofas and chairs are all handcrafted in the UK by the same team behind Duresta, Parker Knoll and G Plan. The Chiswick-based furniture firm was keen to collaborate with home-grown talent and Lorna was an obvious choice.

Lornaโ€™s work demonstrated such an energy, that we were instantly captivated by her confident use of colour and intricate drawing style…The botanical and greenery trend is an important look for 2017 and supporting emerging British talent couldnโ€™t be more important to our brand.
