LetThereBeLight Blogger Competition to win £500

CALLING ALL BLOGGERS!

Who wants to win £500 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend on photography equipment? OK, OK, pipe down and let me tell you how.

Urban Cottage Industries, a company that specialises in industrial and vintage lighting, is currently running a blogger competition called #LetThereBelight. So if you are a blogger who is looking to upgrade your photography equipment then this is a great opportunity for you.

The requirements of the blogger competition are really straightforward. You simply have to publish a blog post on your own blog that features two images: one using natural light and one using artificial light.  The post also has to contain a follow link to http://www.urbancottageindustries.com/

Once you have published your post you need to notify the organisers that you are taking part. You can do this by emailing urbancottageindustries@yoma.co.uk and providing a link to your post along with your name and email address. Alternatively you can tweet a link to your post to @urbancottageind but make sure you use the hashtag #LetThereBeLight in your tweet.

And that’s it! Easy peasy, right?

The competition closes for entries on 31st January 2018 and will be judged by an expert panel of three judges, including myself. The winner will be notified by email on Valentine’s day! What a lovely way to celebrate that would be!

The winner will be awarded a £500 Amazon voucher to spend on photography equipment, and the 5 runners up will receive a personalised A3 Moleskine notebook.

Before entering you should check out the full T&Cs here.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the entries that come in. I’m going to leave you with this inspiring quote about photography and lighting.

Here are two example photographs to get you inspired.

Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography
