We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, if we have your contact details, we may send you an email notification. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy whenever you access The Design Sheppard to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or collected automatically when using this website.

Among the types of Personal Data that The Design Sheppard collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: Cookies, IP address, usage data, first name, last name, and email address. Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy.

Methods of Processing

We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organisational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In some cases, the Data that we collect and process may be accessible to certain external parties, such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, or IT companies.

Place of Processing

The Data is processed at the Owner’s UK operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.
Depending on the User’s location, data transfers may involve transferring the User’s Data to a country other than their own. If any such transfer takes place, Users can find out more by checking the relevant sections of this document.

The Purpose of Processing

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Services, as well as for the following purposes: advertising, analytics, comments, contacting the User, displaying content from external platforms, or interaction with data collection platforms and other third parties.

Advertising

This website works with third-party affiliate advertising networks (AWIN and Skimlinks) who collect Data in order to track referrals to advertiser websites, track the consequent sales transactions and to report on that activity.

Sales that result from Users clicking on affiliate links are recorded, and the networks securely provide encrypted details of which websites generated those clicks and sales to the retailer. The encryption process means the data does not contain anything that can personally identify Users, and affiliate links do not capture personal data unless that data is specifically requested and entered by the consumer. The affiliate link may capture the IP address of the computer used, which can show the customer location.

Analytics

We use analytics services to monitor and analyse our web traffic and to keep track of User behavior.

Google Analytics (Google Inc.)

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilises the Data collected to track and examine the use of this website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.

The specific type of Personal Data collected by Google Analytics is Cookies and Usage Data.

Google Processes this Data in the United States and therefore this data is transferred out of the UK/EU. Google is part of the Privacy Shield Framework, which means that it complies with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States. For more information, you can read Google’s Privacy Policy.
