You may remember that some time ago I featured a fantastic wallpaper featuring digitally printed Victorian tile patterns. That paper was by designer Louise Body and at Tent London last month I stopped by Louise’s stand to check out her new collection. The Stonewall paper range is a beautiful, delicate range of wallpapers in a delightfully muted colour palette. It was inspired by an old stone wall encrusted with lichen and the subtle background textures illustrate this beautifully. The collection is composed of four similar yet very different papers available in three colourways: Chalk, Flint and Sand.
Flight was inspired by Louise’s coastal home town of Hastings and features textures that conjure images of sea spray, chalky cliffs and sandy beaches.
Meadow was created from photographs and drawings of cowparsley, foliage and butterflies and the painterly feel of the paper harps back to feelings of hot summers, country walks and old buildings.
Perched is more like a watercolour painting featuring real and imaginary birds perched on plinths adorning a stone wall.
And finally Stonewall, the plainest design of the lot, provides a beautifully subtle back drop and can be used in conjunction with the other papers.

I’d love to know what you think of Louise’s new collection so don’t forget to leave me a wee comment below!
