Every time I walk through my front door, (literally every time), I think about how I would like to change my hallway to make it more inviting and welcoming and more importantly to make a better use of the space that we have. We definitely need more storage and preferably the type that hides everything away from visitors’ prying eyes. So when I came across these new wall pockets from Danish design brand Normann Copenhagen I knew that they would be just perfect for my dream hallway, but also for my bedroom, my livingroom, my bathroom and possibly my kitchen. I guess I need a lot of pockets!!
Designed by Danish designer Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen, Pocket is a versatile and decorative storage solution inspired by a bulging shirt pocket. It comes in four different sizes, is made of plastic and can be used in any area of the home where extra storage is needed. It is wall-mounted with a sliding bracket so it is easy to lift off the wall for regular cleaning. What I really love about Pocket is not just how it looks and the variety of colours it comes in – White, Black, Light Grey, Dark Green, Spicy Orange, Golden Yellow – but also the variety of purposes that it can fulfill. From storing magazines, mail and kitchen utensils to makeup, pencils, keys and plants to name but a few.
My aim was to make a flexible wall-mounted storage solution for all of the smaller items that you never know where to put. By using the walls you can make the most of the space you have available. The different sizes of Pocket mean that it can easily be adapted to suit individual needs. It will work in homes with both a little and lot of space.

I’ve already got my eyes on the dark green pockets for keeping plants in in my living room, the black and yellow ones for my bedroom to store my make up and toiletries and the white and grey ones for my hallway to keep my keys, mail and headphones in. What would you store in your Pockets?
