Ever since we moved into our flat back in October I have been dreaming of a new kitchen. The one we have is pretty much as far from my idea of my perfect kitchen as you can get. I don’t really like the cabinets, the paint, the tiling, or the layout for that matter and there is a severe shortage of storage space which makes it look cluttered and overly fussy. But unfortunately we just can’t afford to replace our kitchen just yet, which is a shame as it is the room that has the best views and could be a pleasure to spend time in. For now though, I’ll just have to keep dreaming and pinning images onto my Kitchen Inspiration board on Pinterest. One of the images that I have pinned recently is of the Air Kitchen by Devol.

The Air Kitchen is by far one of the most wonderful kitchens I have seen in a long time. It is a unique contemporary retro design that is inspired by the innovative design classics of the last century. Vintage automobile and aero construction, the hulls of working boats and the iconic Airstream caravan all contributed to the design of the Air Kitchen’s curved oak frame, rolled aluminium end panels, polished rivets and futuristic push-to-open solid surface doors.
The Air Kitchen features sleek base cabinets that appear to float whilst slender stainless steel legs support pod-like larder units and appliance cabinets. When combined, the individual elements of this kitchen evoke an exciting feeling of space and airiness. This kitchen brings together time-honoured construction techniques and modern eco-materials and typifies the very best of British craftsmanship. It truly is a future design classic made for contemporary living.
This kitchen is definitely one of my favourites to date. What do you guys say? Are you fans of the Air Kitchen too?
