The other day I spotted one of these cardboard animal heads in a picture of a stunning interior – can’t remember where though – and I had to find out where they are from. After a little bit of searching, I found them.
Cardboard Safari is a tiny little company located in Charlottesville Virginia in the US. The company is run by two guys called Chris and Luis who draw their inspiration from nature and who use sustainable materials – namely recycled cardboard – to design fun and quirky products for your home.
These animal trophies are particularly fun and don’t break the bank either. The small ones cost only $12 and the large ones range from about $44-$58. They also make full-body animals if you fancied something free-standing as opposed to wall-hung.
I think they would be a great addition to a family home and I’m sure kids would love them. You could even get them involved in painting the animals to give them a slightly more personal and creative touch. This would be a great way to help them personalise their room and any animal-loving kids would surely appreciate these cardboard animal heads.
I particularly like the way that some of these animal trophies can be used to hang things from although I suspect you can’t hang anything too heavy from them as cardboard isn’t exactly the strongest material. Although they do also offer them made from wood if you need something more sturdy.

I can’t decide which of these cardboard animal heads is my favourite. Head on over to the website to check out the dragon, the unicorn and the bear. Whatever your kids are interested in you can find a product to help them create their dream room.
If you like this idea but want something a little more crazy and luxurious, check out these animal chairs.
