The Animal Chair Collection by Maximo Riera

I know, I know, you have probably all seen this amazing furniture by Spanish artist Maximo Riera already. But it is so fabulous that I just had to do a post about it anyway just in case any of you hadn’t spotted it already. The Animal Chairs Collection pays tribute to the animal kingdom. Featuring a diverse range of species, from mammals to reptiles, and even insects, the collection aims to portray the animal’s vitality whilst remaining totally biologically accurate. Cutting edge CNC technology was used to produce the chairs from compressed foam and allowed Riera to accomplish a superb level of detail and an authentic texture. The Octopus chair was the first in the collection and is available as part of a limited edition to preserve the unique and exclusive nature of the design.
