I’ve always found body painting a fascinating art form, particularly the skill and patience required not only by the artist but also by the model. I mean painting on the human body, with all its curves and crevices can’t exactly be easy. So I was blown away when I came across the work of Australian artist Emma Hack. Using the iconic wallpaper designs of Florence Broadhurst as the inspiration for her awe-inspiring work, Emma paints the patterns and motifs from the paper onto human models who stand in front of the wallpaper and seemingly disappear into the background, camouflaged by the body paint.

Luckily for us there is a great documentary all about Emma’s wallpaper collection and how she creates these fabulous works of art. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments below!

Interesting work!! I love the bold design of Kabuki Feline – could see this as feature wall serving as a great focal point in a spacious living room for example!
This is fantastic work! Really special
