I’ve been dreaming of a new sofa for what seems like years now. I loved mine when we first bought it. It was a gorgeous, pouffy three-seater with really deep seats. The material was practical and hard-wearing as was the deep brown colour. But as the years of use and abuse have taken their toll the pouffy sofa has become less squishy and more squished! It still looks good and is in pretty good condition but I so badly want a new one. I have spent hours admiring and coveting sofas online but I always keep coming back to Loaf. The British brand has such a wonderful selection of cosy and classy furniture that a brief look around their website really does get me dreaming about the kind of sofa I could have. But it wasn’t until Loaf launched their mid-season collection in May that I found THE ONE! I’m terribly picky when it comes to sofas so it’s not easy to please me. But I think I’ve found what I’ve been looking for in the magnificent Atticus sofa from Loaf. You can see it in the image above! Just look at how deep those seat cushions are, I could just sink right into them and drift off to sleep. It looks so cosy right? And I love that soft pink putty colour too although it totally wouldn’t go with my living room decor.
Described by Loaf as being “squidgier than a squidgy thing from squidgeville”, the Atticus sofa is just one of five new sofas, three foot stools and a bed that makes up the mid-season collection. All of the designs are lovingly handmade in Derbyshire which is great for us Brits. And as a bonus, Loaf has introduced 30 new fabrics bringing the total offering up to 120 fabrics including cottons, wools, linens and velvets made by the likes of Designers Guild, Romo and Ian Mankin. There is also a whole host of new colours to choose from including bright Burnt Orange, bold Bahama Blue, sunny Tuscan Yellow, soft Pink Putty, and a rich Dark Chocolate natural leather. So now all I have to do is choose the fabric and the colour and get saving! It could be a while before I get my new sofa. What about you guys? Any of these delectable pieces take your fancy?
