There are very few things that I would say I couldn’t live without, but a good cup of tea has got to be one of them. I love tea and my day just isn’t the same without a steaming hot cup of Earl Grey. Whatever problems happen to come my way, I know that a good cup of tea will help me put the world to rights and wash all my worries away, at least until those final few drops have passed my lips.
So when I spotted this gorgeous little table by Design K at Tent London in September I wanted to let out a little squeal (you’ll be relieved to know that I managed to contain myself). What could further improve my daily tea ritual and make it into an activity that I could enjoy more than I already do? Why a dinky little tea table of course!!! How can I possibly continue to enjoy my tea without this fantastic little table? Surely my tea deserves its own little table and I owe to myself to have one? Don’t I?
Inspired by the English tradition of afternoon tea, Tea for One is just big enough to hold one cup of tea or one muffin or piece of cake, although not both at the same time of course! This adorable table is crafted from solid ash wood and fitted with a ceramic plate and colourful waxed cotton string. I particularly love the example featuring one of the illustrated bear plates by James Ward. This table is definitely on my wish list and it was one of my favourite design finds at Tent this year. What do you think? Would you like a little table for your tea?
