There we are folks, another week has come and gone and it’s now only a day until I jet off to the Big Apple for BlogTourNYC. So here is another post in my BlogTourNYC series. This time I would like you to discover Du Verre Hardware, a leader in quality and original design for cabinet hardware.
Working with highly respected designers from all aspects of the design world, Du Verre Hardware has created unique, design-driven collections of knobs and pulls for fine furniture and interiors. I was lucky enough to speak to Gina Lubin, CEO & Creative Director at Du Verre, and she told me a little more about the company and its involvement in BlogTourNYC.

Can you please tell us a little bit about the company?
Du Verre Hardware was founded in 1999 by me (Gina Lubin) and Gavin McLean and is known as a leader in quality and original design for cabinet hardware. Working with award-winning designers, Du Verre develops collections of unique hardware for high-end residential, commercial and hospitality interiors. The hardware is eco-friendly recycled aluminium and is LEED compatible.

What is it that sets you apart from your competitors?
Our boutique hardware company is small, design-oriented, collaborative and original. Unique designs and finishes set us apart.
Can you tell us about your most popular range?
We have several. Some of our early work is still going strong. Our Forged 3 Collection is much loved.

What is your most recent product to hit the market and how was it received?
Arroyo has just been launched and is already generating a huge buzz among the press and blogosphere. Balanced and beautiful it should work in many different settings. An instant classic!

How did you get involved with BlogTour?
We were inspired by Modenus‘ Veronika Miller. She has great energy and an insightful approach to using social media to connect design lovers, both consumer and professional, with the most current ideas and quality companies in a global environment. We expect to reach a lot of people through BlogTourNYC 2012.

What can we expect to see from you at the Architectural Digest Home Show in NYC?
We are happy to be able to preview Arroyo at the Modenus booth.
What are you hoping to achieve by sponsoring BlogTourNYC?
Du Verre wants to reach both the consumer and a global audience with our hardware. We are hopeful that BlogTour will give us that reach and introduce us to the world.

Can you tell us something that not many people would know about the company?
That’s an interesting question! Du Verre is a small company that has been around for a long time. Started as an architectural glass company, Du Verre grew into a well-respected retailer of fine objects for the home and now we specialize in contemporary hardware – no more glass! We have always been hands on. First designing architectural glass, then fine custom furniture and now collaborating with some of the most talented designers working today. Our passion is for the creative process and trying to make sure that we adhere to it all the way through the manufacturing process to the finished product.

Well thanks Gina for taking the time to give us an insight into Du Verre and it’s lovely hardware collections. Hopefully I’ll be able to find out more when I visit the Architectural Digest Home Show next week in NYC.
