Devon Home Magazine

Devon Home Magazine July/August 2013

Some of you may be aware of this as I have been tweeting about it on Twitter, but I really wanted to share it here on my blog too as I am so proud of it! At the end of last year, I was approached by a good friend of mine who owns a local publishing company here in Devon with a very exciting prospect he wanted to discuss with me. Jeff owns We Make Magazines and I’ve known him for many years now. I used to work with him when he was the Art Director at Designer Kitchen & Bathroom magazine where I was Staff Writer. I was delighted when he set up his own publishing company here in Devon and I am so happy to be part of it.

I started writing for his local food and drink publication Taste Buds magazine quite some time ago, in fact it was years ago and then at the end of last year Jeff divulged some exciting plans to launch a local interiors publication. I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to get involved…and luckily he asked me to! Devon Home magazine is bi-monthly and features all the great local homes, gardens and interiors suppliers, designers, makers, retailers and manufacturers that can be found here in Devon. It is a fantastic magazine and it has been really well received. I am so proud to say that I write for this magazine and I really feel privileged to be able to say that I played a part in getting it off the ground. Jeff’s wife Jennie came on board this June as Editor of Devon Home after having previously been Editor of Cornwall Life. They make an absolutely brilliant team and working for them is a real pleasure!

You can have a flick through the latest issue here and I’m sure you will love it as much as I do! If you happen to be a home, interiors or garden company based in Devon or you know of one, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. I’m always on the look out for local talent to champion!
